When I came in the day of the results someone congratulated me in getting first clarinet and I honestly thought that they were joking, because there could be no way I had done that. But I checked and I had, in fact, gotten first clarinet and it was extremely exciting. I'm very proud of myself for practicing so hard and doing something that I enjoy.

My proudest/happiest moment
I have a lot of moments that made me proud or happy, but the one that first comes to mind is the time that I made first clarinet in band. I switched into band halfway through the first semester this year, and I could hardly play my instrument. I was struggling with the easiest music that we had. I practiced really really hard for the placement test, but I expected that I would get stuck in third clarinet because I didn't feel very confident about it.

Favorite Music
It's very difficult for me to choose just one favorite artist from this country, because I love so many, but I think my one favorite band is My Chemical Romance. The band members are from New Jersey, although most of them don't live there anymore. They actually aren't even a band anymore though, because they broke up last year ;-;. I have listened to this band since I was young, and their music makes me very happy. A reason I love them so much is because each of their albums are very different and unique. There's really a song/album for any mood that you're in.
My favorite band from a different country are the Arctic Monkeys, who are from England. My favorite album from that band is AM. I love this album because it is very different from their previous albums. The album is really nice, and has some great slow songs on it.

Life Goals
I don't really have a certain plan for my future right at the moment. Mostly I'm hoping to move to a big city to go to college. I was hoping to move to New York City or Portland, Oregon, but I'm not too sure yet. I don't know what I want to study in college yet, but I kind of want to pursue something in writing. I'm really hoping to get my own apartment when I'm older and get a sphynx cat. I also want to start a band with my friends that live in New York. I also want to own a pet snake when I get my own house, because my parents won't let me have one now. I might also get two lip piercings, because my parents won't really allow that either. I don't really have anything else planned for my life, but I look forward to reading everyone else's posts as well!

My Favorite Books
My favorite books would probably have to be: The Fault In Our Stars by John Green, The Perks Of Being A Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky, and the Harry Potter books by J.K. Rowling. I guess that is more than three books, but I can't really choose just one of the Harry Potter books. They are my favorite books because there are a lot of great lessons in them. I had at first never heard of John Green when I read The Fault in Our Stars, although he is a pretty popular author. I was first introduced to the book by my mother. I didn't think it would be a good book, but it made me cry a lot and it has some great quotes in them. The Perks of Being a Wallflower was a book that I could relate to a little. It's definitely a book that made me cry a lot too. The Harry Potter books were a big part of my childhood. The more I reread them, the more details and meanings I find in them and I think they're very brilliant books. I especially love how huge of a world Rowling created with those books.
