My Favorite Holiday

My favorite holiday is probably Halloween. It is on the 31st of October. Every Halloween people dress up in costumes of their choice. Many people decorate their house with decorations like fake spiders and pumpkins with faces or pictures carved into them. The pumpkins are called Jack-o-lanterns because you put a candle in them at night so you can see the faces. In the evening, children go out in their costumes and Trick-or-treat. Trick or treating is when they go door to door and receive candy from their neighbors. This holiday is my favorite, mainly because it is also my birthday. It's also very fun to go out with friends with costumes.
